Gallus1976 (32) from Glasgow, Scotland, Dennistoun
About me
I've been married, and divorced. Got into a long-term relationship on the rebound, and am now single for the first time in years. Out of practice, and in need of some female company! My only commitments besides a fairly hectic work schedule is my Sunday visits to see my 3-year-old son. Get in touch if you want to find out more!

About me
- Where I liveI live in the east-end of Glasgow - in the nice bit... Have stayed up here in my own place for over 10 years now, and the whole area is on the up!
- Where are you originally from?
- Do you want to stay there?I was planning to move to the south of France last year, but things didn't work out with my ex-girlfriend (she's French, and now back in Paris). Would still like to move somewhere a bit warmer than Scotland - perhaps France (south), Spain or Italy...
- What is your occupation?I work for myself, creating websites for a living. I also half-own a newspaper, and run a design and print company. Currently in the process of setting up a book publishing company too - but all designed to be run over the internet, so it means I can do my job from anywhere...
- What have you done so far?I've done loads, from working in a stock office, filling up cardboard boxes, to running a shop selling computer games. I once worked on the till and was default security for a frozen food store in Bridgeton, and worked in a jewelers over in Shawlands (even got to keep the keys to the safe at night!). I've done animation for television and video, worked extensively in television production, and even done the Autocue live for the BBC when the Scottish Parliament was opened. More recently, I ran the web team for Scotland's main education body - but gave it up in 2006 to start working for myself.
- What are your future plans?I don't like to plan too far ahead - but I am designing my life to allow me to be flexible - as long as I can get a quick internet connection, I can do my work from anywhere in the world - and this will mean that I can travel much more than I do at the moment...
- Your perfect partnerI've not met the "perfect" partner yet - but as long as she is open minded, up for new experiences, has a sense of humour, and can put up with me being grumpy in the morning, then I'd say we're on a starter for 10...
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?I'm beginning to get into history more (I hated it at school) and recently read a good book about Scottish mercenaries (Swords for Hire) that opened my eyes to how Europe was shaped. I'm keen to find out more, but need to be interested in the subject matter. I also like drawing, and nearly always have my drawing pad in my rucksack so that I can do a bit when I find I have a few minutes. I have a list as long as my arm of requests for pictures - so no point in asking me to do one for you - unless we really get on well!
- MusicI love live music - and recently went to see Tchaikovsky at the Royal Concert Hall. But I also love it when a couple of guys with acoustic guitars turn up at my local and just batter out the old classics.
- Your fav books/authorsI read all the time - but it was getting very expensive (and my birthday presents were all turning into Borders gift tokens) so I now just buy a bundle each week from the local PDSA - cheap and it means I can try out new authors that I might be reluctant to pay full cover price for. This means that I can't list all my favourite books/authors - but I do a regular book review for my paper!
- What sort of movies do you like?I don't watch many movies these days - but when I do sit down to watch one, I like it to either be very funny or full of action. If it's too heavy going, chances are I'll be asleep before the end.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? If I'm being honest, I prefer petite, slim girls - it probably subconsciously makes me feel as if I'm doing my job of protecting them... Apart from that - I'm not too fussy - it's more about their personality. At the end of the day, if I can sit and have a drink and chat with you, I'll get bored very quickly...
- FoodI can't cook (truthfully, I have no interest in cooking, and I'm just too lazy on this matter to be bothered). At home, I'll eat 'instant' food more than anything else. I like the odd takeaway - but try to keep it varied, and as healthy as possible. When I do eat out, I love French, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Scottish and Indian food... Fairly easily pleased. I don't like seafood much, and I can't eat mushrooms (allergic).
- DrinksI do like the odd drink - but it can be a bottle of wine at home, a drink over a nice meal, or a night down at the local in the company of friends... I never mix my drinks, and tend only to drink beer (not into spirits).
- HolidaysI love traveling, and anywhere that gives me an opportunity to learn a bit of a new language is fine by me. I detest camping and caravanning (childhood trauma) so prefer staying with friends or finding moderately priced hotels/guest houses. I've been loads of places, including Sweden, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, USA, Malaysia to name a few - but haven't really had a proper break in a couple of years now...
- PetsI like dogs most. But I did have an attack budgie when I was younger (I trained him myself).
